This is the story of Eriko Tamura, the daughter of the president of "Productions Tamura", a very important music company. After the sudden death of her father and her mother entering a coma state because of a car accident, Eriko decides to become an idol.

With the help of her bests friends Eriko enters the "real world" and has to confront the success, the failings, to re-gain the admiration of the people, and over all, she has to learn about herself, what does an Idol mean and how much she has to give up because of that.

She will meet very interesting characters, aside her friends, she will confront Rei, a famous rock singer that first gets envious of her for she having a father, later it will turn into friendship but events will make them fight against each other in numerous ocassions. Eriko will also have to cope with her selfish uncle, who got the command of the company after Tamura's death and is obsesed with destroying Eriko's fame as an Idol singer because she represents the success of her father, something he can't accept.

This is a very good serie, with a pretty good plot and very interesting characters, one shouldn't miss it, because the story itself and because the music too! ^^

This serie was created to help the entering of the real live Idol singer Eriko Tamura into the music market in Japan. She has also played in japanese dramas in TV though she has been not very "visible" lately... ^^;

As a curiosity, Rei character is done by Maiko Hashimoto, who dubbed and sung the character of Vision in Bubblegum Crisis 7: Double vision! ^^

There was also a manga adaptation compiled into three volumes. ^^
