But in fact, she's not their "real" mother, but just the fourth and latest wife of their father; her name is Mayu and she's 28 years old. Mito tells Yukino that they are from different mothers.
As Yukino and Mito are talking about it in the kitchen while she finishes making dinner, Mayu appears and tells her that she is sorry but she already ordered some sushi so Yukino should keep the food she's already made for the next day (to Mito's happiness, who is not very... enthusiastic of Yukino's food ;) Of course Yukino is not very happy with this but... what's a girl to do?

However, when Mayu starts offering tea to the boys, they all say no, and in case of Tamaki and Shizuka they both leave the room with strange expressions on their faces. Yukino wonders what is happening with these people but reminds herself that it's not her problem, and that she is supposed to hate them anyway!

A little afterwards, when Yukino is getting everything in order before leaving, Tamaki appears and tries to help her putting her dinner aside, but the pot falls and the food gets dispersed all over the kitchen floor. Yukino tells Tamaki that it's OK, she can make a much more delicious food on the next day and he is relieved to hear that. But Yukino is not feeling al that happy and tries to leave; when Tamaki stops her she tells him about her "hate" feelings but he tells her that she shouldn't hate him.... In that moment Yuma leaves the house and is very surprised to find Tamaki outside.
Tamaki goes to her somehow upset and asks her why she's leaving and not waiting for their father, if she didn't want to see their father. Mayu tells him to stop shouting and unhand her. At their side Yukino watches them and is shocked when Tamaki calls Yuma, "Yuma" without a "-san" termination, and she wonders why he is calling her "Yuma" instead of "mother."

While they are discussing, a taxi Yuma had ordered arrives and she, obviously very distressed, is very fast in inviting Yukino in it to take her home too.
Yukino is confused in the hurries of these two and agrees to it. Before she even knows it they're on their way and she decides to ask Mayu if Tamaki and her are lovers, but Mayu seems to find the idea very funny. Mayu tells Yukino that after all, she's his "mother." But Yukino, though relieved, can't stop thinking (and blushing!) about when Tamaki patted her head outside the house just some moments ago...

In the night, Yukino's mother tells her that she doesn't need to go again to serve the Renjoh family, but Yukino remembers her "promise" of making dinner to Tamaki and wants to go so...
The next day Yukino returns to the Renjoh house, this time with her own key (her mother's, that is), and, of course, blaming her idioticy all the time ;) As she enters the house, she starts imagining cool Tamaki waking up in pijama and wishing her a good day, and then cool Tamaki exclaiming how good Yukino's breakfast is.... What a bad luck for her that the first person she encounters is Mito, naked except for a tiny, little towell around his hips, who thought it was one of his brothers making the noise in the house. Of course, at this sight, Yukino forgets everything about Tamaki and Shizuka gets awaken by a very powerful scream of shock ^^;
