Tokimeki Midnight

In a parallel universe of Tokimeki Tonight, Ranze not only has light-colored hair but just started going out with certain Aron Makabe! Her view of the world will change, however, thanks to new student Shun Mashiba. Shun is cool, good-looking and Ranze is starting to have some feelings for him, unfortunately, Shun also has a deep secret... He is prince from the Makai world and was sent to kill Aron!

Tokimeki Midnight started its publication in Cookie Box February 2002 issue, a side publication of Cookie (a shoujo manga magazine from Shueisha marketed for "girls who grew up reading Ribon"), and it's still running in that same magazine.

Tokimeki Midnight is basically a remake of Tokimeki Tonight, IKENO Koi's most popular manga that spawned 31 volumes and most of the 80s and half of the 90s. Midnight has the same characters and the same basic plot ideas but with new, surprising twists.
Although Tokimeki Midnight is self-explanatory, it's more interesting if you have read the original Tokimeki Tonight (at least the first 15 volumes, that tell the main story between Shun and Ranze). Then again, you may just happen to have a reaction like mine and think the remake is a waste of time. ^^;
