Note: B/w scans are from the magazine, where the print is in low quality paper and different ink colors so it sometimes scans pretty bad and leaves lots of noise in the picture. The tankoubon quality is, of course, much better (perfect, that is).

Chapter 4 (Apr'2002)
Kiriya tells Karin that the teachers are gone and Karin lets him go, but to her surprise, Kiriya hugs her again! After a moment, he tells her he has to go because of his part-time job. Karin says it's ok, but after he leaves, she notices Kiriya's keys dropped on the floor. Karin uses the number Kiriya wrote on the back of the photo to call him up and he is very glad she found his keys. He tells her to wait until he is finished with his job, and Karin learns that he is working in a photo studio. Afterwards, Kiriya invites her to dinner and of course they end up fighting after Kiriya mercelessly teases her about becoming a model. He walks Karin home and kisses her goodnight on her forehead. Karin spends a long time thinking what a good time she had and wondering if she has come to like him for real, and in the process discovers that her glasses are broken. Next day Yuka assaults her asking for her English notes. Their conversation ends up being about Kiriya, of course, and Karin tries to avoid showing how much she knows about him (^^;; ) Later on, Yuka contemplates her life and happens to see Ayase kissing some man in a car. Ayase sees her and both talk for a while. Ayase guesses that Karin is thinking there was something immoral about it because the guy was older than her. Karin is impressed at how sure of herself Ayase is about love matters. Unfortunately, while they are talking, Yuka and her friends hear Karin's phone ringing and when Yuka looks at it, she sees that Karin got an email from Kiriya saying he wants to meet her on Saturday!
Chapter 5 (May'2002)
Yuka replies the email with a place and a time, and Kiriya replies with an "ok." After that, she deletes the emails from Karin's phone. ( -_- ) Later, Karin is in her house putting on contacts because her glasses are broken. Afterwards, she daydreams about Kiriya, not suspecting that Yuka used her cellphone. At Yuka's "date," she tells Kiriya that Karin couldn't come and says how bad Karin is not to tell Kiriya to the face. She just keeps on talking while Kiriya sits there with a bored expression on his face. Yuka says that Kiriya is really not Karin's type and keeps on saying bad things about her until Kiriya offers to call Karin right then. Yuka reacts just as he thought she would, and he leaves, giving her a deserved reprimand. At school, after PE class, the other girls talk about how Karin looks better and cuter without the glasses. But when Karin gets to her locker, she finds out that someone dirtied her uniform shirt with mud! Everybody wonders who could have done something so mean, and Karin hears Yuka laugh slightly. When Karin looks at her, Yuka just leaves, smiling meanly. Karin is shocked and scared and guesses it's all because of Kiriya. Later that evening, Karin goes to Kiriya's place to return the book and leaves it in a pack outside his door with a note attached to it. She thinks she won't be seeing him anymore because she doesn't want to be in trouble with Yuka, but as she leaves, a couple of guys try to take advantage of her and Kiriya saves the day. Karin tells him about returning the book, and he invites her to rest a little at his place. In his appartment, Karin notices lots of big prints of really nice photographs. Kiriya asks her on the side if she read his email, but Karin doesn't know what he is talking about, so he fully understands what happened and just laughes aloud, happy that Karin is not a bad person (like Yuka). Kiriya shows Karin some landscape and sea photographs and she learns about Kiriya's older brother, who was a photographer but died a year before. Karin explains Kiriya about her feelings for photographs and how the can make her feel like if she is herself looking at the real thing. Kiriya is really impressed at her words... ... but they end up teasing each other to cover their respective blushing! (^^) Kiriya tells Karin that he has more photos of her and in the battle that ensues for them, they end up falling into each other's arms. Kiriya acts strange and says that she looks cute wearing contacts. Karin asks to borrow one of his photographs (not of him, she explains, but taken by him). She choses one and tells him that her room is all white so she would like to have something bluish to look at, like one of his beautiful photos. He tells her that he can make a panel out of the small photograph, and Karin is really happy about it. Kiriya looks at her happy face for a moment, and then suddenly asks her to go out with him. He tells her that he wants to know her better. As a very blushing Karin is looking for an answer, her phone rings and she looks at it thinking it's from her family, however... it's an email calling her a traitor and a liar. Karin's happy mood evaportates as she remembers Yuka's face. She looks down and thinks that she won't go out with Kiriya!
