Note: B/w scans are from the magazine, where the print is in low quality paper and different ink colors so it sometimes scans pretty bad and leaves lots of noise in the picture. The tankoubon quality is, of course, much better (perfect, that is).

Chapter 6 (May'2002)
Karin tells Kiriya that she doesn't like him (BF-wise). However, she thinks that she was really happy when he asked but... She can't because of Yuka. Next day in class, Yuka's friends harrass Karin as Yuka makes the crying show about Karin stealing her boyfriend, and she ends up throwing Karin's cellphone out of the window. Karin retrieves it (pretty broken) and thinks depressingly what an idiot she is. In her bus ride, Karin sits behind Kiriya but can't make herself talk to him because he is sleeping. She notices he has no umbrella (it's raining). Karin overhears his friends talking about how busy Kiriya is with all his temporary jobs and how he is like that because of her. Before getting out in her stop, Karin leaves her umbrella at Kiriya's side, who wakes up in time to see her leaving the bus and calls for her, but is too late and has to see her walking away in the rain. Karin herself feels happy (in her misery) because Kiriya called her by her first name. In school, Karin keeps on having a dark mood as the other girls ignore her. Finally Ayase caughts up with her and tells her that she also doesn't find her fights with her boyfriend very entertaining. Karin tells her that he is not her boyfriend and tells her about her feelings towards her "friends" in school. Ayase then proposes to go out together that evening and have some fun! Kiriya's friend hang around in a club complaining about the lack of cute girls when they see a really cute girl enter. The girl is in fact Karin! She is not very sure what she is doing there and is ashamed because all the guys keep on looking at her. Ayase tells her that she is missing some lipstick, and when she looks in Karin's handbag, she finds she has some, so she puts it on her... it's the lipstick Kiriya got her, of course. Kiriya's friend finally realize Karin is... well, Karin (^^; ), and she runs away in horror. She crashes against some guys, who insist in her drinking with them. Karin thinks that she came to forget Kiriya after all, but before she drinks anything, Kiriya himself stops her. Karin tries to get away, but she stumbles because her shoes are huring her feet and the lipstick falls to the floor. Kiriya realizes it's the one he got for her and Karin tries to deny it, however he just lifts her into his arms. Karin says that she can walk, but Kiriya tells her that he is not letting her go until she tells him the truth (about her feelings).
Chapter 7
Karin hugs Kiriya but then pushes him aside and runs away. Poor Kiriya doesn't know what to make out of it... When Karin arrives home, she gets a scolding from her mother, but goes to her room right away. She is depressed because she really likes him. Next day at school Karin finds a note reading "idiot" over her indoor shoes. In class, Yuka is complaining to her friends about Karin again, but Ayase confronts her. Karin talks with Ayase and tells her that even though she is happy Ayase stuck out for her, she shouldn't do these things or she will start having problems as well, but Ayase tells her she doesn't care. Later, Yuka meets with Karin at the rooftop of the school and tells her that what Ayase said made her think about what she has done to her and that she is very sorry. Karin is taken aback and wonders if Yuka is saying this for real... But the moment she agrees to forgive her, Yuka pushes her and locks her out. Yuka laughes at Karin and tells her that if she says that she hates Kiriya, then Yuka will open the door. As it starts to rain, Karin tells her that she really was silly to think Yuka was her friend... but is interrupted by Kiriya himself, who stamps his fist over Yuka against the glass window on the door, and breaks it. Ayase called him on her keitai phone. Kiriya tells Yuka to stop it and get lost, and goes out to meet Karin. He hugs her and tells her not to run away from him, and that he really likes her. Karin hugs him back and thinks that she likes him a lot as well.
Chapter 8
Kiriya walks Karin to her house and then says goodbye and starts to leave. Karin is taken aback! (He will just... go away?!) She ends up inviting him for tea so he can dry his clothes as well. He seems to have been expecting this... They go into the house and poor Karin starts to worry about there being none in the house and Kiriya starts to tease her about doing "evil" things. He notices a piano and Karin plays for him. Kiriya says it's beautiful and they almost kiss, but Karin is too nervous about it. Kiriya wonders if it wouldn't be better if he left, but poor Karin tells him that she is just not used to this and that's why she is nervous. Kiriya says he understands... can he have a kiss now? ("No!" ^^) However, in that moment Karin's mother arrives home! Karin and Kiriya hide in her room on the first floor and Kiriya uses the opportunity to kiss her, and Karin kisses him back. After Kiriya leaves (via the balcony ^^; ) and explains her that it was thanks to Ayase that he knew all about Yuka and that she must be a really good friend of Karin, her mother enters the room and asks her who that was. When Kiriya returns to his appartment, there is a woman waiting for him in the building's hallway.
