Detailed Synopsis available for all chapters: [ 01 ][ 02 ][ 03 ][ 04 ][ 05 ] Karin is a high school student totally uninterested in fashion or boys who wears glasses and has no real friends. Her supposed "best friend" in class, Yuka, only uses her for copying her homework. Although Karin is fully aware of this and wishes she could send Yuka to hell and beyond, she is too much of a coward to actually do so! Karin takes the bus to her all-girls school, and there she meets another high school student, Kiriya, mistakenly assuming him to be a pervert. Later on, Karin is dragged by Yuka to a meeting with cute boys, where one of them is Kiriya himself. Yuka enjoys putting down Karin publicly for her clothes (she wears her school's uniform) but Kiriya helps her out. After she gets sick, he takes her to his home and is then when he realizes that without her glasses, she is actually very beautiful and ends up kissing her! After random meetings all over the city, Karin learns Kiriya wants to become a pro photographer. Karin also makes a new friend in her classmate Ayase, a mature girl who doesn't care about Yuka's type of girls. Ayase helps Karin become more confident in herself and Karin discovers Ayase is involved with an older man. Yuka gets envious that Karin is getting so much attention from Kiriya. After Karin's glasses break and she starts wearing contacts making other students say good things about her, Yuka starts doing mean things to Karin and bulling her. Karin starts to get scared of Yuka and feels guilty because it seems Yuka really likes Kiriya and she keeps rubbing Karin about their (fake) "friendship." Yuka tries to "steal" Kiriya behind Karin's back, but he is not interested and instead, asks Karin to go out with him.
