Note: B/w scans are from the magazine, where the print is in low quality paper and different ink colors so it sometimes scans pretty bad and leaves lots of noise in the picture. The tankoubon quality is, of course, much better (perfect, that is).

Chapter 3 (Feb'2002) [ vol.01 ]
Translation Available. After crashing into Ren, he notices that Kyouko has the forms for entering the audition... he shakes his head and sighs... there's no way... Kyouko gets mad at him but he just ignores what she says (his cellphone is so much more interesting, you see...). She finally gets passionate about it and he seems impressed, but then turns suddenly dark about the fact that she is not really serious about the industry. Later in the night, Kyouko fills out the forms and dreams about her incoming stardom... (^^;;; ). She pins a photo of Ren to the wall ("Just wait and see, Ren!") and then a much bigger one of "that idiot" right next to it... And returns to her evil maniac laughing (the poor owners of the shop... sleeping in the next room...) The day of the audition arrives, and Kyouko finds there are many pretty girls. A woman appears with a little girl and asks who her mom is. Kyouko happens to meet the woman's eye, and so she dumps the girl on her! Some of the other girls start playing with the little crying girl, but Kyouko acts evil on her and tells her not to cry for help... Inside the audition room, the poor producer sees that in the next batch of girls, there is Kyouko. Elsewhere, Ren thinks about the audition. Kyouko and her group are taken to the big audition room as the little girl looks at her with a really evil face. Inside the room, the girls are put onto a stage, and just as Kyouko realizes that the president from the company is missing from the "judges" panel, there is a big explosion of confetti and several exotic dancers appear in front of them! As the dancers move all over the place, a man in a really bad mexican costume appears... All the girls look in painful horror... no... it can't be... But it is! It's Takarada! The company's president!
Chapter 4 (Feb'2002) [ vol.01 ]
Translation Available. Back in the audition, things seem to proceed smoothly as each girl presents her talent, like dancing, playing an instrument, etc... The girl who was so hideous to the little girl before, is able to memorize a book with just looking at it and then read it from memory starting from where the "judges" tell her to. Meanwhile, the producer is feeling really bad because he (and all the other girls) think Kyouko is going nowhere, however, she seems to have gotten the company's president's interest. Kyouko finally gets to show her "talent"... A knife! A radish! (Watch all the girls laugh hysterically and the producer die from horror) Kyouko is... making a rose out of the radish! And to the amazement of them all... so she does! Kyouko cuts the radish in a very long, very thin layer, which makes a nice flower. Even though it's not really a rose, all the men are really impressed, and she has made an impact on the president, again! Next part of the audition consists in the girls answering a phonecall and the judges will meter their reactions. The evil girl is very sure of herself, especially after crossing words with Kyouko earlier. When her turn comes, she is very fast in reacting with a really sweet face, crying and saying a simple "I'm so happy!" All the judges are really impressed at her speed and... er... quality, and so is Kyouko. When Kyouko's turn arrives, she listens to the cellphone... the other end starts telling her how sorry he is, how he misses her, and how he wants to go back with her... Kyouko sees red, remembering Shoutarou, and very powerful and horrorific waves of energy start emanating from her... But suddenly, she offers a very cute and happy smile as the producer and the president look on expectanctly... "Get back together? I'm so happy! I was hoping you'd say that and come back one day...." Then proceeds to throw the phone down and scream at it! "Did you think I was going to say something like that!? Idiot! If 'I'm sorry' made up for everything, we wouldn't need a hell!!" Kyouko suddenly realizes what she just did and goes down to pick up the pieces left from the phone (^^;;; ) saying how sorry she is... But unfortunately, the company's president is having a really dark cloud hovering over his no-longer-happy face!
Chapter 5 (Mar'2002) [ vol.01 ]
Translation Available. And so, at the end, Kyouko's number is not in the list of the chosen ones. The producer finds Kyouko (and her doom ghosts floating around her) and takes her to the local cafe. Kyouko thinks she wasn't chosen because of the cellphone debacle. Sawara tells her that it's not really that. He says that being a "performer" is not the first thing she is focused on right now. He proceeds to demostrate by asking her what her first thoughts are when she hears the word "love." Kyouko (doom voice): "A prelude of Ruin and Despair!!" Then realizes what she just said and goes back to her cute innocent self. Sawara just nods... Sawara explains that to be an "entertainer" she had to give the impression of something, even if she is not feeling it. Kyouko has a flashback to when she waslittle and used to spend all her time at Shoutarou's parents' inn. Shoutarou's mom told her that she always has to make the visitors welcome, and smile for them even if she doesn't feel like smiling. Kyouko realizes that the inn's world and the entertainer's world are the same. After Kyouko is gone, Sawara poners about her and is interrupted by the little girl (from the audition time). She asks how well did no.61 go (Kyouko)... Back at her place, the customers at the restaurant wonder where Kyouko is, but the owner says nothing is wrong. Meanwhile, Kyouko is worming (literally!) her way around her room, thinking about all the things she learnt from Shoutarou's mother about how to treat clients, returning to the matter of Shoutarou and finally crying her heart out. Some time later, Kyouko has flashbacks from her childhood and remembers a little stone... she still has it, it's her secret treasure and gives her strength when she needs it. She tells the owner and his wife that she is returning to her normal work, and the wife wonders if Kyouko gave up on the "entertainer" world. However, the owner says that he thought Kyouko was for real about becoming a talent (so why giving up so easily), and his words make an impression on her. Back at LME Productions, the president tells Sawara that they will accept Kyouko if she comes back to them on her own. Sawara is very happy and says he has faith in Kyouko. The little girl seems happy as well. Back at Daruyama, Kyouko seems to have decided on something!
