Synopsis

All synopsis are by Zahara Medina, and cannot be used anywhere else without her permission. As she is just a student of Japanese, any help, comments or corrections are more than welcome! ^^;
Please, go to the Image Gallery to see the covers in full! ^^
(And remember to buy these tankobon if you like the summaries, it's the best way of thanking the authors and the synopsis are nothing compared to the real thing! ^^ )

Note: B/w scans are from the magazine, where the print is in low quality paper and different ink colors so it sometimes scans pretty bad and leaves lots of noise in the picture. The tankoubon quality is, of course, much better (perfect, that is).

Chapter 24 (Feb'2003) [ vol.05 ]

Even after all her "mess ups," Kyouko kept her Rooster role and has now become a member of the regular cast for the program, though nobody out of it actually knows it's her (which is not really good if she wants to become famous). On her way out, she sees Ren going somewhere and remembers their conversation together... She suddenly realizes all the girls are looking at her in a bad way... because Ren is looking directly at her! Kyouko wonders... but then, Ren smiles! (The Horror!! Kyouko knows what scary looks he keeps behind those smiles...)
Even though Kyouko attempts to run away, he catches her right before she can make her exit (hide in the women's bathroom ^^; ). Of course he refers to their last face to face meeting (she gave him the finger) and correctly guesses Kyouko thinks he is a really vindictive person. However she is "won" by his sparkling (literally!) personality and cries for forgiveness (Ren cracks himself up at this).

After his manager catches up with them, Kyouko wonders about Ren's strange personality and why he can be so nice to other people (like when she was Rooster-Kyouko) but so mean to her. After a serious talk with him, Kyouko decides to enter an audition for a CM (commercial) the following day.
On her way there, she sees a couple of girls supporting each other, and thinks she doesn't really have any friends... even though she really wanted to be friends with Kotonami (who just royally ignores her)... it's a little sad.
When she is about to enter the room where the girls are waiting for the audition, she hears some discussion and a long-haired blonde pushes the door open in her face! She is not exactly polite to Kyouko, even though Kyouko is, so Kyouko's demons start to awake... until she realizes that the person the blonde is verbally abusing is not her but Kotonami! Kotonami is inside the room with a pretty beaten-down expression on her face.

Chapter 25 (Mar'2003) [ vol.05 ]

The blonde girl, Erika, is waited by three beautiful men on a queen sized throne with a porcelain tea set and delicious cakes to the complete amazement of all the other girls. She is waiting for the audition to start...
One of the other girls comments that she has seen her in the TV, in a program called "Japan's princesses(*)." Kyouko wonders about Kotonami knowing such a girl... She asks (in full Kyouko fashion) why she didn't pull the "lets do it together and cheer each other up" friendly type of thing with Erika or her, and Kotonami answers that they aren't friends, they are rivals.

Erika's 3 servants pick up on Kyouko's horribly unfashionable clothes, lack of make-up and even her bag! (^^; ) Erika is kind to explain them that people who have no money have to make-do! It's the fate of the... poor people!
Kyouko starts to get mad at Erika's words, but Erika renewals her campaign of hints about Kotonami's person and veiled insults, and Kyouko is worried because Kotonami is ignoring all of this... she tells her it looks like she is running away.

The audition starts and Erika shocks everybody by starting her presentation with a huuuuge jump that ends right in front of Kotonami!! (^^;;; ) The judges are impressed with her (and more with who she is). Kotonami gets mad and says that it's always like this (people liking Erika because of her important family name), and the judges are already deciding on Erika! But one of the other girls yells at them that she also wanted to become a star since she was little... and war ensues between the girls while Kyouko and Kotonami watch in a horrified trance from the side...

A man arrives to the same building and watches the girls get out after finishing the audition. Meanwhile, the poor judges are commenting on how hard the audition was. They look at Erika's file and comment that she had a lot power and made a very big impact on them, while on the other hand, these two... (Kyouko and Kotonami).
Kyouko and Kotonami are sitting brooding in one of the halls. Kyouko has a flashback about the audition and how she managed to totally mess it up. The man arrives to that hall and decides to sit after he overhears them talking.
Kyouko tries to tell Kotonami that she shouldn't give up on winning, but Kotonami tells Kyouko that she has no idea what she is talking about and how it all comes to a jr. high school feud and how Erika is out to get her in whatever she attempts to do. Kotonami says that nothing can win over money and how Erika can bribe other people with it because after all that's how humans a... Kyouko has had enough and slaps Kotonami across the face!

(* : The title is "Nihon no Ojou-sama." Ojou-sama is a really polite word used to call daughters of important or rich people (which is the meaning in this case), and also used by servants to call the daughter of the house owner, or by older people to call young girls (though in this case, they will most likely use "-san" instead of "-sama").

Chapter 26 (Mar'2003) [ vol.05 ]

(Another fast summary, sorry! T_T )

Kyouko tells Kotonami that money can't buy talent and neither can it buy people's hearts. Kyouko tells Kotonami that after she failed the audition she gave up too fast because she had already decided he had failed, but then found her true feelings. Kyouko makes Kotonami remember her own feelings and tells her that if she gives up and runs away instead of fighting for it, she will feel much worse. Kotonami starts to cheer up and Kyouko comes up with an idea thanks to Ren's previous words so they can make an impact with the audition judges, something only they have!
Kotonami looks in horror... not... THAT?

After they leave, the man that overheard their conversation uncovers and thinks it'll be fun to see what they came up with. Meanwhile, Ren's manager asks him how come he was nice to Kyouko and actually gave her good advice, and Ren remembers the time when she met her when he was younger (the "returning of the beloved rock" episode).

Next audition time, Kyouko and Kotonami are dressed in the pink Love Me Club uniforms and prepared to kick some behinds! (^^)
Meanwhile, the man from before--who turns out to be called Kurosaki--tells the other members of the panel that he has decided to modify the idea for the commercial and will use... two people.
