Synopsis

All synopsis are by Zahara Medina, and cannot be used anywhere else without her permission. As she is just a student of Japanese, any help, comments or corrections are more than welcome! ^^;
Please, go to the Image Gallery to see the covers in full! ^^
(And remember to buy these tankobon if you like the summaries, it's the best way of thanking the authors and the synopsis are nothing compared to the real thing! ^^ )

Note: B/w scans are from the magazine, where the print is in low quality paper and different ink colors so it sometimes scans pretty bad and leaves lots of noise in the picture. The tankoubon quality is, of course, much better (perfect, that is).

Chapter 33 (Jul'2003) [ vol.06 ]

LME President tells Kyouko that a friend of his is a board chairmen of a high school that has a special class for students that are also performers. Kyouko is really excited about this offer!

Next day, while Ren is getting his hair done for a job, Kyouko is study like crazy for the school entrance exam, and like most of us, has found out she has forgotten most of it all (^_^; ).
Ren has a flashback about little Kyouko crying over a test. Her grade was actually pretty good (88 out of 100), but she was crying and depressed because her mom would get mad if it wasn't a 100, and getting mad at herself for being so "stupid."
Present day Kyouko is actually remembering that one occasion as well! But in her flashback, what she remembers is how tight her mother was.

While Ren is working, Kyouko notices Ren coughing a little and touching his throat... it can't be... She follows him to the drinks vending machine and sees him get a milk tea. She confronts him because she knows he always takes his coffee and tea straight. Ren does acknowledge that his throat is a bit bad, and is surprised she noticed. Kyouko presents him with the only possible conclusion: He's got a cold.

Ren laughs it off because he never gets colds and they start a "it's a cold" "it's not" war (^^). Eventually Ren says that if he gets a fever, then he will admit she is right. Kyouko is not satisfied since if he gets a fever then it will be too late anyway to prevent it.

Of course that same evening, Ren gets a fever. (^^; )

Ren is totally shocked that he's gotten a cold. Kyouko admonishes him because as a professional he should take better care of his body. To her utter surprise he admits she is right and that he overestimated himself. He tells Kyouko he is happy that he got to listen to her. Kyouko is touched and also impressed by his "maturity" at accepting when he is wrong. She thinks back at some of their past conversations and how it seemed she was the last person he would like to know about his current situation. She also remembers his words when they last talked about her motives about joining the show business and she realizes that they had the same meaning as the ones he gave her the second time they met, so the reason he was always so angry with her and made her life impossible was because he "knew" from the start that she was entering the business to get revenge on Shoutarou.

While she is pondering on that, she realizes Ren's next scene will be under rain. She tries to stop him, but he says it can't be helped. Filled with worry, Kyouko watches the scene take place...

Chapter 34 (Aug'2003) [ vol.06 ]

The actress playing opposite Ren keeps messing up the last line of her dialogue, keeping him under the rain. Kyouko starts to get really mad. The staff ponders about resting for a while, because the actress is getting too nervous by now, but Ren insists in continuing and helps the actress manage her line. Kyouko is very surprised at this and guesses that if it would have been her he would have just laugh at her and tell her to quit instead of being all helpful and gentle.
After they finish shooting, the actors go to rest in their rooms and Ren ends up fainting on top of Kyouko! Kyouko can't get out because he is too heavy, and because she hears the actress talking in next room, she gets mad all over again because her lines were so simple and starts saying them aloud. To her surprise, Ren reacts to this and finishes the scene with his lines! Kyouko is shocked (and they are both pretty close ^o^ ).

Ren snaps out of it and is surprised she isn't the actress and wonders where he is. Kyouko is still in shock about the fact that the only thing snapping Ren out of it was his desire to "act" and finish his lines.
After they return to work, Kyouko decides on something and disappears. When they finish with all the work, a staff member gives Ren his and Kyouko's packed lunch and comments that Kyouko is too much of a kid for a job like being his manager. Ren seems a bit down that Kyouko has disappeared and starts to fall again. To his surprise, Kyouko appears and helps him stay straight! She is carrying two big grocery bags full of stuff. She actually had to run around to make it in time...

They take a taxi and Kyouko starts to take out the things she bought. A cooling pack for his forehead, some medicines, and honey and a radish. She makes a special mix with the radish and the honey and gives it to him, it's supposed to be very good for his throat. Ren tries it and finds it delicious and is grateful because he was thirsty but didn't want to drink water because of his throat. He wonders why she went through all this work for him (also because they were filming in an area with just office buildings, he guesses she probably had to go quite far to find a store that sells all that), and remembers that she was also this eager when she was little. He thinks maybe he has been misjudging her.

Chapter 35 (Aug'2003) [ vol.06 ]

At Ren's home, Kyouko has put him to bed and is tending him. Ren has another flashback of little Kyouko taking care of him as well, and realizes that his image for the Japanese Woman was molded after her. He smiles very nicely and thanks "Kyouko-chan."
Kyouko is in so much shock that the night passes without her managing to study anything! She spends a good deal of time wondering why he said it like that, and how she used to wish Shoutarou would have looked at her and called her like that.

Ren wakes up and can't remember much of how he ended up in his bed, he looks around and finds Kyouko's study books. She is in the kitchen making breakfast while trying to study, so she ends up making a big mess. Still she manages to prepare something nice, although Ren is not drinking her "stamina juice" because it looks horrid and jokingly asks her if she hates him that much. Kyouko goes blank.
They are saved by the beep of the thermometer. His temperature has gone down and Kyouko asks him to at least have the soup she prepared. While she is away he ponders on her reaction to his "hate" words. The soup is delicious and he wonders why she is going through so much trouble for someone she hates.

Later that afternoon while Ren works, Kyouko is studying in the set and comes across the booklet with his dialogue. She realizes it's very close to the conversation they had during the morning. While on a rest, Kyouko discovers Ren trying to study his lines. He seems to have a problem if he doesn't have someone reading the opposite character's line, so she recites from memory and between both of them they finish the scene. Ren is shocked at how very good her acting and reading of the lines are, esp. given she has been only training for such a short time, and wonders if it really is all just for the sake of "revenge."
