All synopsis are by Zahara Medina,
and cannot be used anywhere else without her permission. As she is just a
student of Japanese, any help, comments or corrections are more than
welcome! ^^;
Please, go to the Image Gallery to see the covers in full! ^^
(And remember to buy these tankobon if you like
the summaries, it's
the best way of thanking the authors and the synopsis are nothing
compared to the real thing! ^^ )
Note: B/w scans are from the magazine, where the
print is in low quality paper and different ink colors so it sometimes scans
pretty bad and leaves lots of noise in the picture. The tankoubon
quality is, of course, much better (perfect, that is).

Chapter 45 (Mar'2004)
|
|
Kyouko congratulates her mirror image effusively for managing
to act and suppress her demons ("black Kyouko") in front
of Shou. She is also very happy thinking she
has managed to step closer to Kotonami's status (acting-wise,
not fame/other-wise). She wonders if she has become a little
more adult.
Meanwhile, Mimori visits Shou's room, who loses interest
once he sees it's her. Shou mentally tells himself that it's
not like Kyouko is going to come visit him. Mimori depresses
since the producer also said that Shou and Kyouko's relationship
in the filming was more lover-like than his with Mimori.
Mimori asks Shou to kiss him, and he says okay, but Mimori
doesn't want anymore because he is so easygoing about it...
she wants a real lover-like kiss from him! Shou turns on the
romantic mode and Mimori half-faints in his arms... just as
Kyouko passes in front of the door! Kyouko (in her "hmph" mode)
comments she didn't know Shou had that ability in him--to
be able to comfort a girl crying. She guesses then that
his way of ignoring tears was just with her. He wonders if
she is talking about when they were kids, and Kyouko nods--yup,
yup, the way he managed to run away when she cried (^^;;; ).
Shou starts to defend himself and thinks that he didn't
say anything that time because Kyouko was crying about her
mother that one time and he didn't know what to say that wouldn't
be lying to her... but he shuts up. Kyouko says she understands,
and that's why she looked for a place where she could cry alone
so she wouldn't have to bother him anymore with it. Shou looks
very surprised at that.
Kyouko starts to walk away, remembering how she walked
through the forest until she found a river, and that's where
and how she met Corn for the first time (*). But just as she
is remembering her "best hits with Corn" Shou intrudes again
and they start to fight until Kyouko almost calls him by
his full name (Shoutarou, which is one of those plain,
country-like traditional Japanese names ^^). Shou retaliates
by mentioning he knows Kyouko wrote "Princess Cindy" (from
Cinderella) and "Princess Rose" (from Little Brier Rose (Grimm's
Sleeping Beauty version)) as her show names... Kyouko wonders
in agony how he knows that, but he was just guessing!
The fight goes on as the producer and Shou's manager look on.
The producer comments they look like they are still going out.
Kyouko and Shou start screaming how that is not true (which
only makes them look more like a silly couple fighting ^^; )
and Kyouko is interrupted by a call to her keitai. It's
Ren! Kyouko wonders why he is calling but he says that's his
line, since it was her who left the weird message. Kyouko
tries to tell him it's nothing, but he knows she called the
company to get his number, so it must be something important!
Kyouko also realizes he had called before. She starts to tell
him that something really good happened in her work today...
when
Shou grabs the phone from her
and says the good thing is that she appeared in HIS promotion video!!
Then hangs up. Shou starts wondering aloud how a newbie like her
gets a call from someone so important (Shou still hates Ren), and
Kyouko is really mad because he destroyed a call from Ren, and Ren
is always so busy... Kyouko's demons start to wake up while Shou
acts all jealous and tells her she said she hated Ren (see first
chapter). Let's guess who wins. (^^; )
Ren eats dinner with the staff and his manager wonders if he
is feeling fine because he seems so concentrated on something.
Ren acts as if nothing is the matter, but internally he finally
recognizes the voice in the keitai as Shou's... and doesn't
seem too happy.

Chapter 46 (Mar'2004)

|
beta version
Maria is desperate when she finds Kyouko in a
weird passive and sighing mood. Kyouko is of
course still going over the incident with Shou and
the phone. Even though she tried calling Ren afterwards,
she got an unreachable message. She wonders if Ren is
mad at her. Maria tries to find out what is bothering
Kyouko and even offers Kyouko her collection of vodoo items.
Maria asks about Kotonami, and Kyouko explains she
is still buy filming her drama debut. However Kyouko is
a bit worried because she sounded weird when she called
about her own success with the promo video acting. As Maria
tries various plans to cheer up Kyouko, they run into
Ren and his manager. Maria runs to greet him but Kyouko
is very nervous. When she finally greets him as well...
Kyouko's devil antenna wakes up! His voice is waaaay
too sweet! That only happens when he is angry. Kyouko
tries to apologize for the phone "problem". Ren assures
her that he
"is not angry *brightness*".
Kyouko knows better! (^^;;; ) And to finish, he says
she participated in Shou's video as one more part of
her revenge plan. Kyouko is taken aback he still thinks
like that.

Chapter 47 (Apr'2004)
|
|
Kyouko tries to explain to Ren that she didn't do the promo
video just for revenge's sake, but runs out of steam on the way
there. Ren gets so scary that even his manager and Maria-chan
notice it, and tells her he is happy she had such a good time.
Kyouko wonders in agony why he got so angry (^^;; )
Afterwards, Maria tells Kyouko it's the first time she
saw such a scary expression on Ren's face. Kyouko admits this
has been the 3rd time for her by now... Kyouko is a bit desperate
and doesn't know what to do, and while she ponders this and
Maria looks at her, the shadow of what used to be Kotonami
passes them by.
Maria and Kyouko wonder why Kotonami looks so... ghostly.
Maria guesses maybe there is something wrong with work. Kyouko
asks why she wouldn't have told her then, and Maria tells her
to ask Kotonami herself. Which she does (^^; )
Kotonami reverts to her usual "I don't care" mode, and tells
Kyouko nothing is wrong with her. Kyouko insists and Kotonami
eventually tells her that she is the type of person who wants
to deal with her problems by herself. Kyouko tells Kotonami that
makes her feel lonely, since they are both friends.
Kotonami seems about to say something when she sees Kyouko's
sad expression (including the "ripping off flower petals" scene...),
but then thinks better of it and tells her she has nothing to
say to her.
At the same time, Ren's manager, Yashiro, is having a conversation with
Ren because he hasn't been too interested in his work since
Kyouko's promo video job. Yashiro demands to know why Ren is so
interested in Kyouko's relationship with Showa, since it's not
the first time he has heard him talking about Kyouko's revenge.
As for Kyouko and Maria, they have decided to continue their
what's-wrong-with-Kotonami investigation by following her
incognito. Ahem.
