Note: B/w scans are from the magazine, where the print is in low quality paper and different ink colors so it sometimes scans pretty bad and leaves lots of noise in the picture. The tankoubon quality is, of course, much better (perfect, that is).

Chapter 51 (Jun'2004)
beta version Ren goes to visit the (Company) President, who tells him he is going to have problems because he hasn't experienced love (Z's note: Take that with a grain of salt). Meanwhile Kyouko has spent the night at Kotonami's. She and Kotonami talk about Kotonami's very busy and money-less live. She also tells Kyouko there is no way Hiou will like her, but Hiou was listening to their conversation and tells Kotonami to go back to work with him.
Chapter 52 (Jul'2004)
Kotonami demands to know why Kyouko won't tell her her own secret even though she told Kyouko hers. Kyouko does the puppy-cry and tells Kotonami that if she were to tell her, Kotonami would hate her! Kotonami says Kyouko can't know that but if that is the case... Fine! Their friendship has finished! (And there goes the little phone-strap doll of herself Kyouko gave her... ^^; ) Kyouko is really scared that if Kotonami learnt the truth, she would act just like Ren. But why are they fighting again? The reason is that some time before, Kyouko got news about her next job: A TV drama series! And not just any drama, a remake of a big hit 20 years ago and surely the most talked about series this year (even her manager can't believe it...). Kyouko is shocked that they want her in such an important production. The manager explains that the producer of the drama, ASAMI Haruki-- Kyouko's devil mode powers on! Is that Shou's producer? The manager quickly finished by saying that Asami was impressed by her promo video with Shou and that she wanted her performance for the series. This turns Kyouko's demons off, and she starts to get excited because someone wants her for her performance ability. Just as she is about to agree... oops! The manager forgot to mention something! Ren is the lead of the series. Bye bye happiness! Kyouko just about manages to ask for some time to consider it, before literally crumbling away. Which takes us back to Kyouko fighting herself over her wishes to accept the part (it's a rich girl role, too!) and her fear of meeting Ren again... and Kotonami wondering what the heck is going on. Just as she is thinking about this, Kotonami gives her the cut big way, and Kyouko's demons decide the matter instead of her, by ensnaring poor Kotonami so she doesn't go away. (^^; ) Meanwhile, Ren is driving with his manager, Yashiro. Yashiro notices Ren looks like he is worried about something and asks him what it is. Did he have a fight with anybody? Perhaps... Kyouko? (This almost kills Ren...) Ren insists he doesn't care about Kyouko and they eventually move on to Ren's new drama. His first passion-intense drama! Which eventually leads back to Kyouko. Yashiro is mad Ren won't tell him what the deal between Kyouko and Shou is, or what happened with Ren's cell phone. If it would be some girl he is not interested in... Ren says that Kyouko is still in high school, and that it's not right for a guy 20 years old to go with a girl that age. There is no way he can feel passion about a kid like that! But Yashiro says that girls mature much faster than boys. At that age, and specially girls who are performers, even if they don't notice it, they improve very fast and start to become more and more beautiful. Ren ponders over Yashiro's words. Later, Kyouko poured her story to Kotonami (who just thought Kyouko was a fan of Shou...). Kyouko wonders why Kotonami is not mad at her because she entered the business for the sake of revenge against Shou. Kotonami asks Kyouko if she ever even thought of Shou when she performed. Kyouko remembers how happy she was after she managed to give her performance as the evil angel because she managed it by herself and shakes her head. Kotonami agrees that anybody can see that she is not performing just for revenge's sake. They move on to talk about Ren's scary side and Kyouko's wishes to act in the drama. Kyouko says that Ren was mad at the thought she did the promo video because of her revenge, since he was already mad from the start about why Kyouko entered the business. Kotonami chews on this for a bit and then says that... what if it's more about Kyouko being with another guy? Isn't that... jealousy? Can it be that Ren actually likes Kyouko? Kyouko seems horror stricken.
Chapter 53 (Jul'2004)
After several moments of looking at Kyouko's priceless expression, Kotonami then says that if it's not jealousy, then maybe it's just that Ren thought that she was laying when she said she wasn't doing the promotion video for revenge's sake. Still mulling about this, Kyouko goes to the TV station's building the next day, thinking she must first apologize to Ren if she wants to fully enjoy her new job. Yes, yes, she must definitely apologize the moment she sees him and explain the truth... and just as she steps out of the elevator... oops! She comes face to face with Ren and his manager Yashiro! Of course, all Kyouko's carefully planned strategies go out of the window the second she sees them! She returns to the elevator after a long scream and closes its door on their faces. Everybody wonders why the poor girl yelled at seeing Ren... But as she is about to run out of the building, Kyouko convinces herself that she really needs to go back. Ren seems to be having some thoughts about the harsh things he told her the last time he saw her. When he and Yashiro come out of the elevator, they find a very scary Kyouko apologizing that scares the hell out of them (in true Kyouko fashion...). At LME president's house, he receives a caller. It's the drama's director, who has come to talk to the president about something concerning Ren... Ren and Yashiro drive Kyouko to LME building. Kyouko explains her back-story with Shou and tells Ren that she doesn't want to lose his trust. Yashiro is very excited about her words, but Ren in his usual manner just nods and says he believes her. Kyouko is happy. When they arrive at LME, Ren leaves with a suddenly serious face while Kyouko is excited about working in the new drama series with Ren.
