Main Characters: Ichiko MORISHITA / Ichigou / Ichigo Tooru KANZAKI TENDOU Sousuke MIYAUCHI

Ichiko MORISHITA / Ichigou / Ichigo

Ichiko used to have a simple student's life and a tad sad one too, having to do house's chores while her mother ignores her and gives all her attention to her younger brother, Ken. She goes to the last grade of middle school (about 15 years of age). However one day a producer (Tendou) convinces her to become an idol and join a group called "Trijet" along with her brother as a boy for a year. Ichiko has her hair cut short and is re-named Ichigou. While on the set of her first job, Ichiko wears a wig and meets Kanzaki, the third member of their group. She introduces herself as Ichigo to him (lit. strawberry). So that the people in the school don't recognize her at the idol, Tendou gives her a wig just like the one she wore as Ichigo for the first time. She likes Kanzaki. Ichiko is a nice girl who can get pretty mad when necessary. She loves her brother and mother, even though she ignores her, and entered the idol group for his sake, since he wanted to become an idol too. Confused? Ichiko: blonde wig, her normal persona out of her idol job. Ichigou: Her idol persona, short dark hair (her real one), passes as a boy. Ichigo: same blonde wig as Ichiko, name Kanzaki knows her by as a female.

Tooru KANZAKI

Kanzaki is a young famous idol (about 15-16 years old, goes to last grade of middle school). Ichiko first meets him when he is filming a dorama (Japanese short soap opera), and is very impressed by his acting capabilities. He is the first member of the idol group Trijet and at the start seemed to resent Ichigou and her brother. He likes Ichiko as a female, but knows her as "Ichigo" and doesn't know Ichigo and Ichigou are the same person.

TENDOU

Tendou is a young manager from the Production company that produces and manages Trijet among other things. He was the one that spotted Ichiko and her brother, and also the one who came up with the idea to make Ichiko pass as a boy. He stroke a deal with Ichiko in which she is to do as he wishes (appear as a boy and be a member of Trijet), but only for a year. He seems a little distanced from things, and it's not easy to read what's on his mind. However he always seems to be there when Ichiko needs comforting.

Sousuke MIYAUCHI

Sousuke is a song writer and singer who falls in love with Ichigo after they meet by coincidence. He turns out to be one of Trijet's opponents for the Best Newcomer prize, and later on agrees to write Trijet's last song. He dislikes Kanzaki for breaking Ichigo's heart up and tries to make her forget him. He is a year older than both Ichigo and Kanzaki and attends high school. Sousuke is not aware that Ichigou and Ichigo are the same person.
