Note: B/w scans are from the magazine, where the print is in low quality paper and different ink colors so it sometimes scans pretty bad and leaves lots of noise in the picture. The tankoubon quality is, of course, much better (perfect, that is).

Chapter 11 (Feb'2004)
Riku is still pondering about how coincidental it was the chairman's office break-in and Rokujou's big interest in visiting it when Maki and Kaede enter the classroom. Maki wants to confront Rokujou about the key, but Kaede stops him. Rokujou is rude to them and says they are in the way, then leaves. Riku isn't sure how to act with Maki and Kaede... After school and the movie, Riku and Rokujou sit in a cafeteria. Rokujou complains about having to spend 3000 yen in such a boring movie (*). Riku says she thought it was fun, but she can't stop thinking about the key. Rokujou gets a call on his cell phone and seems to have lots of fun with that conversation (unlike talking to Riku). Meanwhile, two familiar heads are hiding behind some bushes at a nearby table. Riku thinks she heard Kaede's voice, but Rokujou finishes the call and Riku thinks she just imagined it. Rokujou starts to complain about Kaede and how he looks down on everybody because he was first in the tests, but Riku defends him. Rokujou tells Riku it's enough and that it's time to go study... in the chairman's office. Riku complains it's too late, but Rokujou says it's ok since she is the chairman. Riku thinks there really is something going on with him. When they arrive the doors are locked, so Rokujou starts to get impatient and angry and asks Riku for the key. Riku says she won't give it to him, and asks him why he is so angry. She says the day before the office was broken into and... Rokujou asks her nervously how can she think it was him, since it was Kaede who had the keys... oops! Riku asks how come he knows that, and accuses him of being the burglar. Rokujou gives up on the pretence and roughly snatches the keys to the offices hall from Riku's hands. Riku tries to stop him but he just keeps looking in all the offices until he finds the test papers. Rokujou tells her to shut up and that if she wouldn't be the chairman he wouldn't even look at her. Riku gets angry and latches up to his arm to try get the papers back, while telling herself that it all happened because she didn't want to listen to what Maki and Kaede said, even though they were worried. And Just as Rokujou is about to slap Riku for good, Kaede stops him and tells him he is the lowest type of man. Rokujou breaks free and runs away while Maki runs after him. Riku and Kaede run after them as well, and Riku realizes it was them after all in the cafeteria. Maki cuts Rokujou's way, so he turns around, running towards Riku and Kaede. Riku puts herself in the way in front of the doors and ends up in a struggle with Rokujou, while Kaede pushes the fire button, making the security walls fall (*2), trapping them. As the man in charge of guarding the school runs towards them, they make their escape, taking Rokujou with them. Rokujou is really angry and says he hates Kaede because he is so good at everything, and tells Riku that the only reason he went near her is because she is the chairman. Maki gets really irked at that, but it's Kaede who pretty scarily (^^; ) tells him to apologize to Riku. Maki kicks him some more, too (^^; ). Riku realizes that Rokujou didn't even once said her name. She tells Kaede and Maki that it's okay and she kind of understands now. Kaede and Maki leave to get her things. Rokujou tells Riku he won't apologize because it's not like she liked him or anything. Riku tells him that even so, she had a good time with him, so please, not to think of her in such a way. When Riku arrives to the school gates, Kaede had told Maki to wait for her there. Riku starts to cry and says it was just as Maki had said. Maki comforts her. (* : A normal cinema ticket in Tokyo costs 1800 yen for adults (about $16.5 on Feb.25), 1500 yen for students; deluxe theaters are a bit more expensive. Most of the movies are shown in original version with subtitles, but movies for kids and some of the most popular movies are also shown with Japanese dubs in some theaters.) (*2 : Schools seem to have a system of "containment doors" that roll down cutting the hallways in sections when you press the fire alarm.)
Chapter 12 (Mar'2004)
Riku is ashamed she cried in front of Maki, but he just jokes with her and tells her not to worry because not all guys are like Rokujou. Kaede comes back and they all go together. Riku is happy to have such good friends. Next day (Sunday) she is asked to go to the school by Natori because the guy last night heard her voice. Riku explains what happened without giving names and asks Natori to let her deal with it since the guilty student didn't look inside the envelope containing the tests. Natori eventually agrees. Since she went all the way there, Riku decides to see if Kaede is in the boys dormitory. Instead she finds Maki, who takes her to his room so she isn't seen by the other students and rumors start to fly. They talk about Rokujou and Natori and how bad she will do in the tests while Maki changes clothes and Riku looks away. Riku asks what Kaede is doing, and Maki asks Riku if she likes Kaede. Maki comes really close, then tells her to stop because he has someone else. Riku pushes Maki out of the way and runs away saying it's none of his business. Maki wonders to himself why he said that. Riku runs away telling herself she already knew that. Meanwhile, Kaede is studying while Yuzuru is training. He sees Riku and calls her to join them. Kaede gives Riku some notes he did for her to help her studies, in thanks for the problems with the test. Yuzuru sees how Riku blushes and says she has something to tell Kaede, and she wants Riku to hear it too. Yuzuru says she likes Kaede, and asks him what he feels about her!
Chapter 13 (Mar'2004)
Kaede tells Yuzuru that of course he likes her! Riku runs away. Riku doesn't know how to act around Yuzuru and Kaede the next day, so Kaede corners her in the roof and he makes Riku feel better. He also tells her that he told Yuzuru he liked her, meaning as a friend, and that they aren't going out. Riku reaches a new level of confusion. After school, they all hang out in a bookstore and Yuzuru and Riku re-invoke their friendship. As they are talking about places and amusement parks where they could go, Kaede comments "she is very cute". Maki asks him who he is referring to, but before Kaede says anything, Maki goes to Riku and tells her he will go with her to that amusement park she was looking up in a magazine. Riku is speechless. All through the chapter Maki had been trying to apologize to Riku about the day before, and of course they had ended fighting. Riku got really bad results in the tests... (^^; )
Chapter 14 (Apr'2004)
Riku and Maki's "date" starts awkwardly as Riku doesn't know what to talk about and Maki doesn't seem too impressed by the amusement park ("Pretty Land" ^^; ). Meanwhile, Kaede gets a visit from a "girl" at the dormitory. He rushes to the entrance, but seems disappointed when it's just Yuzuru. She asks him to go out with her for a walk. At the park, Riku is having lots of fun while Maki seems happy just to look at her. Riku asks him if he wants to go somewhere to eat, and Maki is shocked that the big bag Riku has doesn't contain any food for him! He was apparently looking forward for her bento box... ^^; Riku wonders what's wrong with him and why he seems angry. Yuzuru takes Kaede to the same part Maki and Riku are in. While they eat some burgers, Riku tells Maki she is sorry and that she will make a bento box next time... then she realizes she has just implied there will be a next time. Riku tells Maki he seems really bored, and Maki says that he is not really finding anything too interesting, but that watching her is fun. Riku blushes. Yuzuru and Kaede see Maki and Riku laughing and talking in the restaurant. Kaede gets serious and tells Yuzuru they should leave. Riku and Maki continue with the date. Maki catches a balloon for a little kid and Riku teases him about him being a good guy after all. Maki tells her to drop it and takes her hand in his. They both walk hand in hand.
