Tadamune goes out of the country in Luis' ship but Maria stays with Kojirou in Japan.

Tadamune poses as Kojirou so that Kojirou can return to Spain with Maria.

Kojirou choses the honor of the family over Maria and breaks up their relationship.

Other: Kojirou leaves with Maria so that Tadamune can still be the next successor, not knowing that Tadamune is also leaving with the same intentions.

Chapter 13 (1st. half of Aug'00) :

• Long synopsis available.
• Lord Masamune instructs Captain Luis to take Tadamune in his ship and Maria, angry that Kojirou isn't going to fullfil his promise of returning to Spain with her, leaves him. However at the last moment she regrets it and decides to stay in Japan with Kojirou. Fortunately Captain Luis and Tadamune stop het before she goes overboard (literally) and, as it happens, Kojirou and Tadamune exchanged positions! Back in the castle, we see that both Asagao and Lord Masamune himself know as well, but none is going to say a thing. And so, Maria and Kojirou return to Spain for a Happy Ending!

Chapter 12 (2nd Half of Jul'00) :

• Long synopsis available.
• Kojirou dares Tadamune to a duel, but as they are fighting, Tadamune drops his sword intentionally and Kojirou hurts him. Tadamune says he wants to be like Kojirou (as in, having lost one time intentionally) and Kojirou asks for forgiveness for all the pain he has caused Tadamune. However, Lord Masamune appears and declares that Tadamune will be banished from the country and Kojirou will have to be the next Lord! Meanwhile Maria waits outside thinking that she and Kojirou will return now to Spain....

Chapter 11 (1st Half of Jul'00) :

• Long synopsis available.
• Tadamune escapes and Kojirou takes refuge in Asagao's family's house until Lord Masamune is back and he can talk to his brother. Mean while, Maria, who has been sent to the ship, decides to go back to the shore to help Kojirou, but is caught by Tadamune's men. Once with Tadamune, he lets out his frustrations, lets her free and is about to commit suicide, but Maria stops him in time. At the same time Kojirou learns Maria is in Tadamune's hands and as he prepares his katana declares that there will be no forgiveness if Tadamune does anything to Maria...

9% - Other: Lord Masamune appears. "One of my sons wants a girl who's too related, the other wants a girl who's too foreign, and I want daughter-in-laws who are between those extremes. Maria, Asagao, average yourselves."

Chapter 10 (2nd Half of Jun'00) :

• Long synopsis available.
• Asagao mistakes Maria for Virgin Mary and agrees to help them, taking them to her father, who Captain Luis recognizes. In their jail, Kojirou tells Asagao's mother and his foster brother that the day when he and Tadamune were 13 and supposed to fight between each other to become the heir of the Date house, Kojirou asked Tadamune to let him be defeated intentionally. Right then, they are freeded by Asagao's father and Maria's group and they manage to trap Tadamune, waiting for Lord Masamune to come back....

Chapter 9 (1st Half of Jun'00) :

• Long synopsis available.
• When Maria keeps on calling Kojirou to help her, his twin brother, Tadamune, stops in anger to be reminded of his brother and goes to confront him, intent on killing him. Meanwhile Captain Luis and his crew free themselves and Maria.
  After Tadamune is stopped from killing Kojirou, Yuugao and their small brother by a servant delivering a message, he goes away leaving Kojirou with the impression that he has done something to Maria. Tadamune then meets another of their half-sisters, a pretty girl named Asagao who seems to be too happy that Kojirou arrived--even though Tadamune covers the fact that he imprisioned him-- and makes Tadamue show some emotions... As Asagao returns home, she catches Captain Luis and co. trying to return to the house.

1 - Kojirou decides to investigate why his brother wants to kill him so desperately and if his brother knew that he is still alive before taking further actions. However, Captain Luis wants to pay Kojirou's father a visit, and finally learns about Kojirou's situation. He then decides to help in the investigation because he does not believe that K.'s father is aware of the attempted murder of Kojiro.
2 - Kojiro finds out that it was his brother who sent those guys to kill him.
3 - Maria will marvel at the different surroundings, and curiousity will cause her to break a cultural/social rule.
4 - Even though Maria is happy and excited to visit Kojiro's country, she will be treated badly at first. At that time, Japan was a closed country and was not too welcoming to strangers. So I think Maria will have to overcome these obstacles and will become homesick. But, since Kojiro is with her, I think she will be okay. He'll probably protect her. Looking even way further down the line, this could be way out there, but I think some kind of love triangle will develop? Maybe between Kojiro, Maria, and Kojiro's twin?
5 - The captain will take Kojirou and Maria hostage to blackmail Kojirou's father.

Chapter 8 (2nd half of May'00) :

• Long synopsis available.
• Kojirou takes Maria and the ship's crew to his home, but they are draught and wake up in jail thanks to Lord Munetadas's orders. However, Maria wakes up in a different room where a man who looks exactly like Kojirou realizes she is Kojirou's woman, seems to like her and says that what is Kojirou's, is his!

2nd Half of April Poll results... ^^
33.5% - Kojirou tells Maria to wait for him in Spain but Maria disobeys and stays with Kojirou.
39% - Antonio learns Maria wants to stay with Kojirou and after trying to convince her otherwise, he stays too.
5.5% - Antonio kidnaps Maria when she refuses to go back.
11% - Captain Luis takes Kojirou as a hostage and demands a ransom from Kojirou's father.
5.5% - Maria leaves Kojirou behind and returns to Spain.
5.5% - (Other): Kojirou is taken hostage; Maria and Kojirou are not meant to be (culture clash), a tragic take to the story... [how pessimistic can you get to be? ^^;;; ]

Chapter 7 (1st half of May'00) :

• Long synopsis available.
• Maria decides to go to Japan with Kojirou and Antonio lets her go. While on the trip, Maria starts learning some Japanese and Captain Luis explains how he met Kojirou's father (due to an illness in his first trip to Japan). Later Kojirou explains Maria some of his anger about his brother.... And they finally arrive to Japan's coast.

47,8% - In exchange for defending the ship from the pirates, Captain Luis decides to take Kojirou (them) to some port where they can find a ship that goes to Japan. ^o^
5,8% - An army ship in pursuit of Kojirou appears to save the day. ^^;
5,8% - Captain Luis invites Kojirou to join the crew.
5,8% - Captains Luis sees his good fortune and gets rich selling them as slaves. -.-
5,8% - Captain Luis kills Kojirou. (I just knew somebody would vote this!)
5,8% - "It's a pirate's life for me!" [or us, as the case may be ^o^;]
5,8% - Captain Luis offers to take them to Japan directly.
5,8% - (Other) Captain Luis attempts to kill Kojirou but decides to throw the group off the ship. Then they swim to a nearby island and build a boat and go to Japan. (Note: Hey, it could happen!)
5,8% - (Other) A pirate is sneaking behind Kojirou and Captain Luis is aiming at that pirate (Smart! ^o^)
5,8% - (Other) Maria or Antonio notice and stop Captain Luis.

Chapter 6 (2nd half of April'00) :

• Long synopsis available.
• Kojirou is tied up, but Captain Luis allows him to live and turns the ship towards Japan when he learns that Kojirou is the son of Masamune Dake, who he seems to know. Maria is relieved, but when they arrive to Mexico and she and Antonio are supposed to take a ship back to Spain, she ends up confessing her feelings for Kojirou... who says he likes her too! They both kiss...

2nd Half of March Poll results... ^^
16'5% - Soldiers appear and save Maria, Kojirou ends up in jail.
33% - Kojirou manages to board the ship with Maria as a hostage. ^o^
8% - Maria manages to save herself ^^;
25% - Juana appears and she, Antonio, Martin and Maria with Kojirou end up boarding the ship. -_-
16'5% - Captain Luis is surprised at Kojirou's hard-to-stop ideals and lets him aboard. ^.^;

Chapter 5 (1st half of April'00) :

• Long synopsis available.
• Kojirou manages to board the ship with Maria as a hostage, and Antonio goes with them, as well. Maria feels very betrayed and used by Kojirou, and even though he ends up telling her a little about his twin brother, he doesn't say much, but ends up very agitated. Antonio, Captain Luis and the crew wait for Kojirou to fall asleep and then attack him, but as they are trying to get him, a pirate ship boards them! One of the pirates tries to get Maria, but Kojirou defends her and then Antonio. The pirates try to kill him, but he finishes with them all. As he is standing in the middle of the bloodshed, Captain Luis thanks Kojirou and aims at him with his firearm!

100% - Antonio catches them "hugging" and decides to have some words with Kojirou (and not polite ones) ^^;;

Chapter 4 (2nd half of March'00) :

• Long synopsis available.
• Antonio catches them hugging and demands explanations. Not convinced, he takes Kojirou to the harbor, where a ship is getting ready to leave (to Japan, or so Antonio makes us think), but the passage costs too much. Antonio then, jealous of Kojirou, proposes to Maria, but she rejects him and starts to realize her true feelings for Kojirou. Martin appears and tells them Kojirou went alone to the harbor; when they arrive, Kojirou decides to take Maria as a hostage and demands returning to Japan!

February Poll results (only one Margaret)...
40% - Kojirou regains conciousness but has a memory loss.
30% - Kojirou regains conciousness right away.
10% - Antonio gave Maria the wrong powders in jealousy.
10% - Kojirou can't stand her anymore and wakes up to tell Maria to go kiss herself and leave him alone!
10% - Kojirou wakes up but is too sad to react to anything.
(I wanted to vote for "Maria ravishes him while he's asleep, but I realized it was just wishful thinking! ^o^;; )

Chapter 3 (1st half of March'00) :

• Long synopsis available.
• Kojirou, in his coma/sleep, dreams about his childhood and early teenager years when his twin brother and heir of the family snobbed at him and wakes up to Maria's voice calling his name. He wakes up in semi-shock and is distrustful of Maria until she lets her hair loose and he recognizes her. She tries to help him but he refuses her, does he hate her? As days pass he seems to get better and starts learning Spanish with no outer sign of depression about what happened. One day he goes to see the sea and he and Maria "talk" about it and she guesses he wants to return home, to Japan. As he stands up his strength fails and Maria supports him in her arms and her heart starts racing...
