Other pages of
Home (Home & Away) by UEDA Rinko started it's publication in January 2000 on the magazine Margaret and ended it's run on the August issue, having been compiled in two tankoubon or collected volumes.
Just like Ueda's previous manga, Ryo, this is also a "historical manga" (set in the past) with really exisiting persons, but unlike Ryo, it has no paranormal elements and it offers a twist very little seen in manga, the heroine is... Spanish! As the story starts, we find ourselves in a city in the south of Spain where Maria and her family and friends live. Due to the opening of Japan to the Christianism, a delegation of Japanese men is sent to Spain in hopes of getting audiences with the king of Spain and in Rome. One of these men is Kojirou, a young samurai who is betrayed by his fellowmen and left "dead." However he is not and when Maria finds him and takes care of him both their destinies are joined then for a long time to come! ;)
