Home: Part 11. [version 1.0] Tadamune breaks loose of the man holding him and runs away, calling for his soldiers. As Kojirou and the group follow him, they see a number of armed men coming their way, but luckily for them, the men that were doubting Tadamune's orders before (in chapter 10) appear and help them out of the castle. As they run away, Kojirou tells Captain Luis to take Maria into the ship, that he must stay and talk with his brother. Maria doesn't want to separate with him, but Kojirou tells her that he promises that after this mess is over, they will return together to Spain... As Captain Luis drags her away, Maria looks towards Kojirou with worried eyes. In the castle, Tadamune learns that they haven't found Kojirou yet... he doubts the man loyalty towards him, but, as the man goes away, we see Tadamune looking down with a little of desperation on his face.... Elsewhere, as Asagao cries in anger over Tadamune's actions, Kojirou talks with Asagao's father and decides to stay in there until Lord Masamune returns, and then he will talk with his brother. Back to Maria, she is back into normal clothes, looking longingly and worriedly towards the shore... Captain Luis appears and tells her to go rest a little. But as he goes away, Maria stops in her way and turns to look at the coast with a resolute look in her eyes. While nobody is looking, she sneaks down the side of the ship using a rope and takes a boat to the beach. However, as she is running through the streets, she is spotted by one of Tadamune's soldiers... Maria is taken to Tadamune and they are both left alone. Maria is very sorry she got caught, but Tadamune surprises her by letting out a little of his obsession about being so similar to Kojirou. Maria realizes he is suffering and tells him to make a reconciliation with Kojirou... Tadamune seems to get very angry at her, but instead of killing or hurting her with his sword, he cuts the ropes that tie her hands. Then he tells her to go. Maria is very happy and starts to run away, but as she looks back, she sees that Tadamune is opening his kimono and pointing his sword to his abdomen! Maria is shocked and runs back to him, telling him to stop. But Tadamune just yells back that now he has lost Asagao and everybody. But as he fumbles with Maria, who is trying to stop him, she gets cut in the arm with the sword! Tadamune drops the sword right away and, very agitated, saying how silly she is and stops the bleeding on her arm with one of the sleeves of his kimono.... and finally breaks down in tears over her arm. Kojirou learns from Captain Luis that Maria is again in Tadamune's hands. He asks for his katana in front of a very surprised Captain Luis. And, as he puts the katana through his belt, he says that there will be no forgiveness for Tadamune if he does anything to Maria!
