Home: Part 12. [version 1.0] Tadamune is crying over Maria's arm when one of his men appears and tells him that Kojirou is back! Outside, Kojirou demands to see his brother, with Captain Luis and the rest behind him. Then Tadamune and Maria appear, and Kojirou notices the bandages on Maria's arm. He asks her about it, but Maria smiles and says it was an accident.... Kojirou doesn't seem to believe that, and without any more warnings he unfolds his sword and dares Tadamune to a real sword fight between them. Tadamune seems to accept the duel as he wordlessly goes down the steps and takes out his own sword. However, as Kojirou is attacking him, he just closes his eyes and lets his sword fall to the ground... and Kojirou's crosses his chest. Tadamune falls to the ground and Kojirou runs at him, asking why he didn't fight back in obvious distress. Tadamune whispers something about wanting to be equal to Kojirou and then falls unconscious. [Tadamune is probably referring to the time when Kojirou lost intentionally] Later on, when Tadamune wakes up again, Kojirou asks the rest to leave him along with Tadamune. Maria is worried, but Kojirou tells her that it's all right. Once they are alone, Kojirou asks for forgiveness for what happened on the "who-becomes-the-heir" fight and for all the pain inflicted on Tadamune because of that.... Tadamune has no words but cries silently in agony. Meanwhile, outside the rooms, Maria wonders what is happening between them when people start getting excited around them. Tomonoshin appears and tells them that Lord Masamune has arrived! Maria is very excited that she finally sees Kojirou's father, but Captain Luis just tells her to kneel on the floor. Lord Masamune goes to them and recognizes Luis, then excuses his house for all the troubles they have caused to him. Luis accepts them and Lord Masamune walks away towards Tadamune's room. Maria is very excited now, as she and Luis agree that things will get fixed soon now. She smiles happily as she tells Captain Luis that then she will return to Spain with Kojirou! Lord Masamune enters the room where Tadamune and Kojirou are and says the talk is everywhere and that Tadamune's conduct was a serious crime, therefore Tadamune will be exiled out of the country. Kojirou starts to complain, worried, but his father cuts him and tells him that he will be the next lord of the Date family (next heir). Outside, Maria smiles to herself, thinking that she will be returning to Spain with Kojirou soon.
