These synopsis are done by Zahara Medina and can't be used anywhere else without her consent. As she is just a student of Japanese, there are bound to be mistakes. If you spot any mistake, please report it to me, thanks! :) (comments are also appreciated....)
Please remember to support your favorite authors by buying the original publications or other official versions! ^^

Note: B/w scans are from the magazine, where the print is in low quality paper and different ink colors so it sometimes scans pretty bad and leaves lots of noise in the picture. The tankoubon quality is, of course, much better (perfect, that is).

Act 3 (Apr'2002)

Next morning, Ayu is greeted by an as-happy-as-usual Kaji-kun. Ayu is very surprised! Perhaps... Tsujiai hasn't told him about the photograph incident?
In front of her, Ayu sees Nina reading a manga and crashing into other students. She stops her and tells her not to do that, and Nina answers that she is sorry, but what she was reading was so entertaining that she couldn't stop! Ayu sees the reading in question is a volume of Doraemon (*). Nina says that the plot is just like them both! The main character having powers and helping his friend. Ayu ponders that if Nina is Doraemon, then she herself is... Nobita! (see this picture to understand Ayu's shock... ^^;;; ).
Nina wonders if Ayu hates Nobita (she thinks he's cute) while poor Ayu thinks that unlike with Doraemon, Nina is more a nuisance than help anyway!

Nina sees Tsujiai and goes to thank him for lending her the manga. Ayu is even in bigger shock at seeing them so friendly with each other (and at the fact that Tsujiai likes Doraemon). Tsujiai catches Ayu's look and she drags him away, leaving Nina and Kaji behind. Nina notices that Kaji doesn't look too happy.

Ayu asks Tsujiai about the photo incident and he says he is not telling him, even though he would like to because it was so funny, because he had the feeling Ayu wouldn't want him to. He ponders if it is ok to tell him, and Ayu shakes her head fervently (^^;; ). Ayu is very happy and relieved and is back to the idea that Tsujiai-kun is, after all, a good person!
Ayu says is nice to see he is being so friendly with Nina, and he says that Ayu is the really good friend of Nina since ther are always together. They are, he says smiling, a pretty good "straight" and "air-headed" combination!
Ayu thinks about it for a moment and then realizes... it's a comedy pair-up combination!

Later, Ayu (still depressed from Tsujiai's words) tells Nina that she only started her "cool" image when she discovered that's what Kanji likes. Nina says she understands now, and Ayu says that in that case, she is sorry but has to keep away from Nina. She must protect her "cool" image!
Nina goes on shock and tries to convince Ayu not to do that! Ayu says that Nina will find other friends, but Nina says Ayu is the only one who understands her. Ayu runs away after saying how sorry she is, and poor Nina watches her with big tears falling down her face!

Poor Nina thinks Ayu hates her, and decides to use some magic so she can forgive her!
As Kaji returns from baseball practice, Nina goes to talk to him and asks him to put out his hand, then gives him some choco balls! Tsujiai appears as well and wonders what's going on. Kaji tells him Nina gave him choco, does he want any?
Well, of course he does! And picks up the only one with magic in it.

After swallowing it, Tsujiai runs away, while poor Nina runs away too, upset that Kaji didn't eat that chocolate (and poor Kaji is left alone wondering what the heck just happened...).
Tsujiai goes to meet Ayu while she is in tenis practice, and asks her to go with him for a moment. When they are away and alone, Tsujiai suddenly seizes her by her shoulders and tells her that he likes her, and to go out with him!

Ayu goes blank... and then happens to notice Nina watching from afar... She disengages herself and tells him she will be back in a moment, then goes to confront Nina. Poor Nina cries that she intended the magic for Kaji-kun, and Ayu just wants to know where the antidote is! Unfortunately, the antidote falls from Nina's hand and is crushed under the shoes of some passing-by guy.
Ayu goes bersek on Nina, while she tells her not to be afraid, that this time the magic is temporary and that it will last 2 to 3 hours perhaps.

Tsujiai appears behinds them and poor Ayu is in charge of "toying" with him until the magic disappears... After two hours and a half, Tsujiai and Ayu walk hand in hand and she wonders how much more it will last... Kaji happens to see them like this.
Tsujiai keeps on tellin Ayu how much he likes her and how he wants to be with her. Ayu is amazed at how well the magic works, since Tsujiai is acting just like a completely different person. Ayu starts to be affected by the nice things he says to her (even though it's magic, it's still very exciting to hear these things from a boy!). Tsujiai then attempts to kiss her!
Thankfully the magic runs out just in time, and he wonders what happened... he doesn't remember anything of what happened (while the magic was working). The poor man leaves after Ayu tells him they went out of school together.

Later Ayu tells Nina not to try this kind of magic again, because what the person says is not what he really feels and that's not what she wants to hear. She says she is happy that she did it for her, though, so they can be together again. Nina is really happy, and thinks next time she'll do better... (poor Ayu... ^^;;; )

(* : When the author doesn't want to spell a word completly because of its unsuitability or a joke, a circle is used instead of one of the kana sylables. In this case "Do 0 e mo n" instead of "Do ra e mo n". You can see this happening a lot with words such as "condom" (ko n 0 mu, for example), some un-nice ways to call certain parts of the human body, or when the characters are naming things belonging to other publishers. However nowadays it's mostly used for making jokes (such as putting many "bad" words together so it's like a circle every 2 words *grin*) :)

Act 4 (May'2002)

Ayu is very surprised that Nina doesn't come and go from her Magic Kingdom house to school everyday. Nina explains that she can't do that, so she is staying with a host family where the mother is a normal human while the father is from the Magic Kingdom. Nina also explains that her real last name is "Sakureiru," so it was adapted into the Japanese "Sakura."
Kaji interrumpts in their conversation, almost catching them! So they have to change the topic right away... A pretty girl calls for Kaji (by his first name!). As Kaji goes to talk with her, Nina comments on how pretty she is and asks who she is. Ayu replies (with a not-too-happy face) that she is a student from 3rd grade (a year over them) called HIROTA Akiho. She is also the manager of the baseball club. She seems to be really good friends with Kaji, though they aren't going out together. Nina looks on thoughtfully...

Kaji walks with Tsujiai. It seems it's been proposed a "group blind date" (*) between girls from the third year and boys from 2nd year, so Tsujiai very much does not want to go. Kaji wonders if he doesn't want to go because of his girlfriend. Tsujiai has no idea what Kaji is talking about, so Kaji wonders then why he was holding Ayu's hand before... (see last chapter)
Tsujiai strongly denies any attachment between them and Kaji bribes him to come to the group date with some ramen. Still, they need another two boys to fill the group and Kaji wonders who to ask... as Nina suddenly appears besides him and tells him that she knows two boys!

Turning into a boy and going to a group date?! Ayu is NOT having it! Ayu doesn't want to become a boy again! (Flashback to first episode: Nina is trying to come up with the correct way to turn Ayu back into female and unfortunately Ayu has a serious need to go to the toilet...)
Nina tells her not to worry, that this time both of them will be male and not just Ayu, and as a the last resort, she asks Ayu if she really wants to have Kaji-kun have fun with the 3 grade girls, including Akiho...
Ayu needs no further motivation.

On the day of the date, Ayuo (Ayu) and Jin (Nina) arrive and Tsujiai remember's Ayuo (supposedly Ayu's cousin) from their tennis match. Kaji and Tsujiai are surprised that he knows Nina, though they draw no further conclusions. The four of them go to the karaoke place where the date is and Ayu is surprised at how easy and friendly Nina is.
Ayu is happy to hear for the first time Kaji singing and is kind of happy she came, after all. Right in front of her, Akiho asks Kaji to sing a duet with her, so Ayuo goes to the attack and asks Akiho to sing with him! After that, Ayuo manages to attach himself to Akiho's side as to prevent her from being with Kaji.

Meanwhile, poor Nina finds that she doesn't know any of the songs except... Nina asks Tsujiai if he knows that song and he does. Shall they sing together? Tsujiai and Jin proceed to delight the audience with a Doraemon song.
Afterwards, Ayuo asks Akiho if she wants to sing another duet with "him," but she just asks him if they can leave for a moment... Once outside the room, instead of having Akiho going bersek on him for getting between her and Kaji (as Ayu is expecting), she just seizes his arm and happily asks him where they should go!

Ayuo is speechless, so Akiho explains that even though she went there because of Kaji, Ayuo is pretty ok, so that's fine!
Jin looks at them from a corner, and Tsujiai catches him and wonders what he is doing. Jin manages to convince him to stay silent... and both return to spy on Ayu and Akiho.
Ayuo says agitatedly that he is sorry and that even though Akiho is very nice, he already has a girlfriend, so it can't be. Akiho is not impressed and says that in that case, she is going back to Kaji. Ayuo stops her in horror and tells her that it's no good with Kaji. She wonders why is that and Ayuo doesn't know what to say.
Akiho asks him if it's because Kaji likes another girl? She says she already knows that, and Ayuo is in shock. Akiho returns to the box and says that she will still try hard anyway.

From the corner, Nina watches poor Ayuo's expression. Ayu is feeling horribly bad at the shock that even though Kaji doesn't have a girlfriend, he does like some girl.
Later when saying their good byes, Akiho calls for Ayuo and kisses him on the mouth to everybody's surprise! Akiho then leaves while Kaji congratulates Ayuo on his luck! Ayuo (formerly a stone figure) waterfall cries in desperation... Poor Ayu's day only got worse... she just got her first kiss from a girl!
Nina wonders that this time it wasn't her fault, right? Right? As Ayuo's waterfall crying doesn't stop, poor Nina thinks that perhaps it was her fault after all... (^^;;;; )

(* - These "blind group dates" are dates where a group of boys and a group of girls, most of which don't really know each other, go on a group date with the hopes of finding a boyfriend or girlfriend.)

Act 5 (Jun'2002)

Ayu gets some cookies from her "fans" from first grade, who cooked them the day before during cooking class. Ayu and Nina see that Kaji is also getting some cookies from some girls. Ayu lists Kaji's wonderful attributes to Nina and then wonders with a sad face who could be the girl he likes.
Nina is happy to announce that she has come up with something! Ayu is scared at what she might do next, but Nina explains that it's magic that makes people say the truth. Ayu just has to make Kaji eat one of the magic choco balls. But it only lasts about 2 to 3 hours. Nina tells her that of course if Kaji says it's her, she can just tell him "Me too!" and then they will be a couple!

Ayu is impressed by this plan and is all for it! Unfortunately Kaji is always going around with Tsujiai. After classes end, Ayu and Nina talk about Nina's magic and how she thinks magic is to be used to achieve hapiness for oneself or others. In that moment, Kaji walks alone into the empty classroom and Ayu uses the opportunity to leave them alone.
While Ayu helps Kaji with ordering some prints, Kaji asks her if she is going out with Tsujiai, and Ayu screams in horror at the idea. Kaji tells her that he saw them walking hand in hand and Ayu attempts to explain the situation. Kaji smiles and says he's relieved.

Ayu blushes at his words, because if he is happy she is not going out with Tsujiai then... then... then that means... Well, of course not, as Kaji continues on something different. Ayu then decides to use the magic choco ball and offers it to Kaji, who wonders if it's ok since it's the only one left in the pack. Ayu tells him it's very much ok and watches pointedly at him, but before he puts it in his mouth... he throws it in Ayu's open mouth!
Kaji says that Ayu was looking like if she really wanted it and asks if isn't it ok for her to have the last one then. Ayu tells him that she wanted him to eat it! Ayu remembers that she will be saying the truth all the time because she ate the ball.

Kaji wonders why she was so interested in him eating it, and Ayu starts to say that it's because it's a magic---. Ayu clamps her hands over her mouth and runs away.
Poor Ayu roams the hallways in pure desperation and happens to come by a teacher, who happens to ask things, and Ayu just keeps on digging her hole deeper and deeper... (^^; )

In the meanwhile, Nina happily runs back to the classroom wondering how it went with Ayu and Kaji, but when she looks in it, she notices there is only Kaji. As she watches him, he puts the cookies he got from the other girls into a plastic bag and then throws it carelessly into the trash on his way out!
Nina is too shocked to react and Kaji notices her standing there. Nina tries to run away but stumbles and falls. Kaji asks her if she saw what he did with a "bad boy" expression on his face, and a terrified Nina nods. He says it gives him a bad feeling to eat things cooked by girls he doesn't know from anything. Nina says that she saw him accepting them all smilies and happiness.
Kaji replies that it's all for the sake of his reputation as a honor student, and then tells her no to tell his "secret."
