Act 11 (Dec'2002)
Translation Available. Kaji and Ayu walk home together. He asks her if she is really ok with him since he is not really as cool as he seems to be. Ayu says it's ok and that Nina told her something like that already. Kaji tells her that he already knew she wasn't quite as cool as she seemed to be and that he finds her very cute. He asks her for a date on Sunday since he has baseball tickets. Next day, Ayu is all depressed because she checked her wardrobe and has nothing cute to wear for her date. Nina tells her that she can make some clothes with magic and she takes Ayu to her home. In her room, Nina has a desktop computer, a scanner and a big magical treasure box. After looking at some magazines and deciding on the clothes (a denim skirt and a cami blouse), Nina draws them on a paper and scans them. She inputs in the program Ayu's size data and then puts the paper into the trasure box. After a burst of light... Ayu's got new clothes! (^^) Ayu feels bad for being so excited in front of Nina, but she tells her it's ok and agrees that she should look for a boyfriend. Ayu eagerly asks her what she thinks of Yuta, but Nina has a good laugh at that. Ayu then asks her about Tsujiai, but Nina says that he is just a good friend and that she is happy just with Rio. On sunday, Kaji is surprised at Ayu's cute outfit. But during the match, someone bumps into Ayu and she spills her drink all over her new clothes! Ayu is a bit upset for this to happen on her first date, and goes to the bathroom to clean herself up. However, on the way she notices people are looking at her in a weird way... As usual, Nina's magic has its drawbacks and Ayu's clothes have disolved where the drink touched them! (^^;;; ) Since she didn't have any other clothes, Ayu returns to her seat with a new set of sports shorts and t-shirt with the logo of the local team. Kaji is really surprised and Ayu confirms that the damage to the clothes was really bad... After the match, Kaji ponders about food, but Ayu tells him that she can't go anywhere with those clothes. Kaji replies that they can go to a fast food place but Ayu is still not convinced. Kaji tells her that no matter what she is wearing, she is still Ayu and he wants to be with her. Ayu smiles happily at this. Next day, Nina asks how the date went and Ayu says it was really enjoyable (and tactfully refrains from mentioning the clothes incident...). Meanwhile, Kaji tells Tsujiai that he had a really good time, and urges him to get a girlfriend as well. Kaji asks him about Nina, and Tsujiai leaves thinking about how he finds Nina cute and interesting but perhaps not quite so much as to want to go out with her... He then spots her outside the building. She is talking with Rio-boy, who takes his pill and turns into Rio-cat. Behind them, an astonished Tsujiai wonders what the heck just happened!
Act 12 (Jan'2003)
Translation Available. Tsujiai watches Nina during class while pondering in a dark cloud about what he saw (Rio transforming from boy to cat). Finally he decides to go to Nina and ask to talk with her for a moment. Ayu exitedly thinks he is going to declare his love for Nina! (^^; ) Tsujiai takes Nina outside the building. Nina wonders why it's the place where she always does magic... Tsujiai explains that he was around here earlier and saw a boy turn into a cat right in front of Nina's eyes! Nina goes in total shock mode. Nina tries to divert his attention but Tsujai keeps on asking her to explain him what happened (bulldozer-style). He tells her that he is not letting her go until she explains! He also tells her that he will protect her secret and won't tell anybody. Nina still tries to act like if she doesn't know what he is talking about, but Tsujai has the ultimate weapon: If she tells him, he will lend her all Doraemon manga!! This proves to be too much of a temptation to Nina, and to Tsujai's utter shock, she agrees to explain. Nina reasons with herself that after all he only saw the transformation, and doesn't know that it was because of Nina's magic. So she tells him that it was some kind of magical candy she picked up in the stree... Tsujiai: "Liar." Well, someone gave it to h... "Who?" Er... some man she doesn't kn... "Liar." Tsujiai goes bersek on poor Nina and she admits that she did it herself. (^^) Which of course, only leads to... "How did you do it?!" type of questions... Sometime later, Nina returns to the classroom with a sad expression on her face. Ayu happily wonders if Tsujiai declared himself, but Nina depressingly answers that she confessed... all of it... Ayu goes in shock mode. Emergency meeting between them and Yuta ensues. Ayu asks Nina if she told about the Magical Kingdom and her studing abroad. In fact she even told him about Yuta! Yuta spanks Nina for being such a chatterbox, which is nothing compared to his expression when he learns what Nina exchanged the information for... Ayu calms Yuta and tells him it's okay because she has a good feeling about trusting Tsujiai with all of this. Nina then tells them that Tsujiai would like to do the magic on his pet, and asks them to go with her to his place after school. Nina thinks it'll be fun (Ayu and Yuta are not very convinced...) At Tsujiai's house, he shows them his cat, Shinnosuke. Nina uses some of Shinnosuke's dry food to make the magic, and Tsujiai is impressed by the magic treasure box and computer. Tsujiai eventually realizes that this was what happened with the chocoball in the "famous episode of Tsujiai falling madly in love with Ayu" after he mistakingly ate it from Nina. They explain a little more about "magic" and Yuta shows him that he doesn't need a computer to do it and is very serious about Tsujiai being careful to keep the secret. They give the food to Shinnosuke and he transforms into a beautiful young man! Shinnosuke is very happy he can suddenly talk... but unfortunately for him, Tsujiai is less than happy to have a hugging session! (^^) A blushing Shinnosuke tells Tsujiai that this is a dream come true for him. Tsujiai, cool as always, thanks Nina... and proceeds to ask how to turn Shinnosuke back into a cat. Shinnosuke is not happy with this at all! He doesn't want to change back! Before they can catch him, he runs out of the house. Nina uses her computer to locate him. At a convenience store, Kaji is reading some magazine when he notices a guy outside the store looking at him in a weird way (Shinnosuke). He wonders what's with him, and then is surprised to see Ayu run to him and start a discussion! Kaji goes outside and asks Ayu is she's allright. Shinnosuke asks if Ayu is Kaji's woman, and Kaji agrees and demands that he lets her go. Shinnosuke is not scared and instead hugs Ayu and shakes his tongue at Kaji... Shinnosuke says he hates Kaji because everytime he comes to visit Tsujiai, he gets ignored. (^^; ) Shinnosuke ends up pushing Ayu towards Kaji and making his escape. Ayu leaves after him and tells Kaji that she will explain tomorrow. Between the four of them and Rio they manage to corner Shinnosuke. Yuta tells him that he is stupid for not wanting to go back to his cat form, since this way Tsujiai won't play with him anymore or hug him... (the hug part really gets to him...) so he agrees to return to his former self. Later in the night Shinnosuke-cat nudges Tsujiai to play with him, but after remembering Shinnosuke's human face, he sweats some and puts him down right away! Poor Shinnosuke... Added for the tankoubon version: (not originally published in the magazine) Tsujiai looks up and remembers Nina's smiling face while handling her magic computer... He smiles and says, "a witch, eh?"
Act 13 (Feb'2003)
Translation Available. Next day at school, the group wonders what to do about Kaji and if to tell him the truth (since he saw human-Shinnosuke). Kaji of course appears right then and they all rapidly spread in all directions. Kaji wonders what's with them, but Ayu distracts him. Then he asks her who was the man (Shinnosuke) they met the day before and Ayu tells him that he's from Nina's house and that she is having some problems in that area... Kaji is suprised that even Tsujiai know about that and Ayu explains that he knows by pure chance and that Yuta is Nina's childhood friend so of course he also knows... Kaji wonders that the problem is, but Ayu says she is sorry but can't tell, and tells him not to worry. Meanwhile, Yuta walks on his own thinking that nothing good has happened since he came and that it's really boring. A pretty girl calls for him and introduces herself as Nakamura Sayaka and wonders if it's ok to talk to him for a moment... Some time later, a seeminlgy very happy Yuta catches up with Nina and Ayu and tells them that he's got a girlfriend! He tells them that a really cute girl declared her feelings and he said ok to going out together. Ayu is really surprised about it and tells Nina that she doesn't personally know her, but she is a really famous girl in school because of her looks and is known as an "ice doll." Nina is also amazed that such a girl would want anything to do with Yuta and they both banter each other a little. Nina tells him happily that she is glad such a pretty girl declared herself to Yuta. Yuta is surprised for a moment, but then his expression changes to some kind of acceptance at Nina's feelings. Ayu has noticed this, and wonders if it's really ok for Yuta, since he likes Nina. Ayu is interrumpted in her thoughts about Nina and Yuta by crossing paths with Nakamura. In a very pretty and polite conversation, Ayu asks her why Yuta, and Nakamura answers smiling happily that she always had a feeling for him. Ayu tells her that Nina is Yuta's childhood friend and Nakamura hopes she can also become their friend from now on. As they part ways, Ayu thinks Nakamura is a really nice girl and is happy Yuta got such a neat girlfriend. However, Nakamura looks back at Ayu with a dark expression on her face. Ayu tells Kaji about Yuta and Nakamura, and Kaji is surprised as well, since Nakamura is known for not accepting boyfriends (hence the "ice doll" part). Ayu tells him that she just talked to her and that she seems a really nice girl. Kaji doesn't seem too convinced, but they leave the topic and end up discussing what they will be doing in the summer holidays. On the rooftop of the school, Tsujiai meets with Nina and he locks the door so nobody can walk in on them. Tsujiai wants to know if Nina can really make magic that will transport them to another place and she is happy to show him. She uses her pocket computer and Tsujiai says that since it's a really hot day, he would like to go somewhere fresher, like some mountain resort place. Nina happily computers in the "mountain" part and tells Tsujiai to place his hand on her shoulder. Ready? Go! Tsujiai and Nina appear in the middle of a freezing snow blizzard. After they are safely back, poor Sakura is depressed and tells him she is really sorry and says she is really useless. Tsujiai smiles at her and tells her not to worry and that it's not true. If it were that bad, she wouldn't have made it to studing aboard. He says he enjoys being able to see so many things and is happy for Nina's "uselessness." He tells her that this is the way to improve and to try her best. Nina is taken by surprise and thinks that Tsujiai is a nice guy and that it's the first time that someone doesn't get angry because she failed at her magic. Next day, some classmates ask Nina about becoming such good friends with Tsujiai, since they were seen together going to the rooftop and knew they had the key to the door. They ask her if they are going out togehter and Nina denies it. The girls are happy because one of them is a fan of Tsujiai and she was a little concerned... Nina looks down a little worried. Nina walks around aimlessly when a smiling Tsujiai catches up with her. He tells her that he has a question about the Magic Kingdom, but Nina tells him that it's better if he doesn't come near Nina, and to go to Yuta if he has questions about magic. Tsujiai wonders about this and Nina says that since they are not going out, it's bad to be seen together since it leads to misunderstandings. It's not that she minds but... Tsujiai looks seriously at her and asks her what about going out for real then? Nina is in shock.
