Act 18 (Jul'2003)
Ayu wakes up still on the floor of the gym and realizes Sayaka can use magic. Sayaka asks if it hurt, and then says that it's Ayu's fault for making friends with "them." Nina, Tsujiai and Rio teletransport to the gym in that moment. Nina explains to Ayu that Tsujiai worked out who sent the letter and that since she couldn't reach her on the phone they decided to look for her using her computer. She also says that Yuta will arrive soon. Ayu tells them about Sayaka using magic to attack her with the basketballs. Yuta arrives and is very surprised as well. Sayaka tells them that her mother came from the Magic Kingdom, but her father was a normal human. Her mother died in an accident. Nina asks Sayaka why she sent her that letter if she is also a magic user just like her. Sayaka gets angry and shouts that she is not one of them. She goes on to explain that the first time she used magic she was about 4 years old and discovered she could float. But because she showed to another boy, he tried to float too and had a nasty fall, and didn't want to see her or play with her anymore. Her father told her that her magic was a present from her mother and that she shouldn't tell anybody about it. But later on when she was a bit older she made a great best friend and thought it would be save to show her about her magic and saved a little cat with it. The best friend promised not to tell anybody, but she told other students and they asked Sayaka to show it. Sayaka didn't and so her best friend got mad at her for telling the other kids she couldn't do magic and making it look like she had been telling a lie. The girl said she didn't want anything else to do with Sayaka, and Sayaka got scarred for life... again. Ever since she made no friends and had no boyfriends. Some years later she met with a person from the Magic Kingdom and got scared because she had always thought she was human. Sayaka considers herself to be between the two "worlds" and being unable to belong to either of them. And then came Nina, who managed to find human friends who kept her secret, has a pet and even a childhood friend with her! Sayaka can't stand this, says he hates them all and delivers some electric voltage to separate Nina from Ayu!
Act 19 (Aug'2003)
Sayaka faces the group. Nina and Yuta try to talk some sense into her, but she ignores them. She tells them she went out with Yuta to be closer to them and also about the letters and the Kaji incident. Nina wonders why she also wants to hurt Ayu since she has done nothing, but Sayaka thinks it's really weird that Ayu is their friend. Ayu tells her it's not weird, that Sayaka's childhood problems with other people were because those were kids. Ayu asks Sayaka to forgive and forget. Sayaka is not having any of that an continues to attack them with electric charges. Yuta tries to stop her, but because she had nothing better to do with her life than practice with her magic, she manages to overpower his magic pretty easily. She resumes the attack and Rio gets a full blast while protecting Nina. Sayaka seems a bit shocked that she actually hit someone, and Nina loses control and prepares to send a full blast towards Sayaka. Sayaka doesn't react and Tsujiai and Yuta have to take them both down in the last moment. After the blast goes off, they all look around at the damages, which include a huge whole in the gym's ceiling! Nina and Tsujiai are in shock... (^^; ) Tsujiai yells at Nina to be more careful. (^^;; ) Meanwhile, Sayaka refuses Yuta's help and asks him angrily why he pushed her out of the way. Rio comments on Nina's silliness at doing such magic and everybody is very happy he is all right. Sayaka seems relieved. Yuta fixes the hole and Nina is impressed, but Yuta yells at her that it's only an illusion and that it will need much more work and he will have to call for Mito. Nina is sorry enough by now... (^^; ) Yuta takes Sayaka home and they disappear from the gym. The rest hear people coming to the gym alerted by the noise and Nina has to teleport them away. Next day both Nina and Mito have big dark circles under their eyes. Nina says they stayed up fixing the gym up to the morning. Mito complains about having been involved in the whole thing... Yuta is away doing some private business and will be at school later. Nina is so sleepy she decides she will sleep while in class. Mito agrees. Ayu reminds her she is a teacher and can't fall asleep in class... Later, Yuta catches up with Sayaka. He tells her he has something to tell her and they go to the school roof. She tells him to leave her alone and that she won't attack Nina & Co. again. But Yuta has something for her, he went to the Magic Kingdom office and found an address for Sayaka's mother's parents in the Magic Kingdom! Unknown to her, Sayaka's mother also had an older sister and brother. Yuta tells her to go visit them but Sayaka wonders if it will be okay, given her mother ran away from home. Yuta convinces her that it will be fine, and offers to help her. Sayaka is really thankful and wonders why he is doing this after all the bad things she has done. Yuta says that he understands she felt very lonely all this time and that he likes the type of persons like her (that have been ousted (?)). Nina and Tsujiai have a conversation as well. Nina says she understands Sayaka's feelings because before meeting Ayu she was also very lonely and alone. She wonders if she will manage to make friends with Sayaka. Nina then asks Tsujiai why doesn't he go out with Sayaka. Tsujiai is taken aback and wonders where did that come from. Nina says that since her liking of Yuta was fake and since Tsujiai wants to date a mage... A mage?? Tsujiai says he never said such thing. Nina answers that he sure did! She says that back when he asked her out he said he wanted to date her because it's fun to do magic. Tsujiai says that it's not like "anyone who can make magic" is okay and that Sayaka is not interesting (a bit scary actually...). Tsujiai realizes this might be why she refused. Nina says it doesn't matter since he gave up... But Tsujiai cuts in and says he hasn't given up. Nina looks at Tsujiai in surprise for some moments, then suddenly turns around and says she has to go somewhere. Tsujiai correctly guesses she is running away, and as Nina walks down a corridor, she is blushing.
Act 20 (Sep'2003)
While walking to school Nina has the feeling someone is watching her, but forgets about it when Ayu arrives and starts talking with her. Somewhere, a man is holding a small computer with Nina on the screen. When Nina and Ayu arrive at the shoe lockers, they find Yuta and Sayaka already there. Sayaka excuses herself and goes away. Yuta tells them that she is still thinking about things. Nina asks if they are going out, and Yuta says they are. As they go to class, Nina tells Ayu that she is very glad about them being together, although Ayu mentally wonders if Yuta has given up on Nina. Tsujiai greets them and Nina turns totally red. Ayu wonders what is happening and then realizes the truth. After school, Ayu is talking with Nina about she liking Tsujiai. Ayu tells Nina to go out with him, but she is still not sure if what he really enjoys is the magic part. Ayu then gets an email in her keitai from Kaji. He is at Tsujiai's, so Ayu proposes going there as well. Nina is too shy to go, so Ayu comes up with the idea of transforming into some animal with Nina's magic, and she produces two of her famous choco balls (Ayu says it's been a long time since Nina said "practice" when using her magical treasure box... about 12 chapters? Even though she does that every week in the anime... ). They take the choco and transform into two kittens. Once in Tsujiai's house's garden they eventually meet with Shinnosuke (Tsujiai's cat), who is surprised they can also transform from human to cat form. He insists in Nina transforming him into human... (^^; ) Tsujiai comes looking for Shinnosuke and he and Kaji notice Ayu-cat and Nina-cat. Kaji calls for them and is surprised at the speed Ayu-cat goes to him (^^;; ). When he takes her in his arms, she is in heaven... Kaji wonders if they belong to someone, but Tsujiai notices they don't have belts, so they are probably stray. Kaji wishes he could keep the cat, but pets are not allowed in his building. He tells Tsujiai to keep it and he will come visit him. Tsujiai says that can't be because Shinnosuke won't like it (Shinnosuke nods). Tsujiai then picks up Nina-cat and says he would also want to keep it. Then gives it a kiss! Nina-cat scream-meows and jumps away after scratching his hand, then insists to Ayu-cat that they leave right away. Although Kaji wonders what happened, Tsujiai just returns to his usual don't-really-care mood. As they return home, Ayu-cats complains about Nina's attitude. Nina-cat says that Tsujiai kissed her, but then suddenly remembers that she forgot to make a "magic cancellation" chocoball!! (but it's ok, they can ask her home stay father and... ) Ayu can't believe it... Next day at school (and back in human form), Tsujiai asks Nina for a walk. Nina wonders if he found out about the cat thing. While they leave, Sayaka looks at them (with a scary expression on her face). Tsujiai says that Ayu talked to him. He tells Nina he likes her, and asks her to go out with him. Nina blushes but is about to give a negative response when Tsujiai continues and tells her that it's not about him wanting to go out with her because of her magic or anything. He already thought she was kind of cute, and after learning about her magic, he grew up to like her because of how she is, and even though he also likes her weird magic, he still likes her even if she doesn't do magic. Nina tells him that when he asked her to go out with him because they were rumors about them he didn't seem too concerned about going out for real but just as a way to keep talking to her and doing magic. Tsujiai apologizes for the way he said it, but tells her that his feelings were for real and it just came out that way because it was the first time he was showing his feelings. He wonders if that makes it a "no." Nina says that it's not a "no," and blushes and starts to tell him that she also... but is interrupted by Sayaka. Sayaka says there is something she has to tell Nina and drags her away. Sayaka apologizes to Nina for what she did to them and Nina says she was also at fault. Sayaka then says that she has a last request... won't Nina leave Tsujiai to her? Nina is really surprised. Sayaka says that she has liked Tsujiai for some time. Nina asks about Yuta and Sayaka says he is just a good friend, but not a love interest. However, Nina says that she is sorry but she also likes Tsujiai, so she can't do as she asks. Sayaka then says that Nina will eventually return to the Magic Kingdom, right? This is for Tsujiai's sake as well, since won't they eventually have to break up? Sayaka asks her again to leave Tsujiai to her. Nina is frozen speechless. Outside the school, the (good-looking!) man is watching this scene through his computer.
